SILC Leadership Modules and challenges
Bringing the best of our successful school workshops, school camps and summer camps to a one-day workshop. Developed from the SILC framework, these modules and activities include leadership workshops and games such as the Pyramid Challenge, the Trading Challenge, the Interview Game, and are fully integrated with the learning outcomes of the conference.
Industry speakers and expert panel
The conference features expert speakers from various industries, bringing students real-world perspective and insight on different aspects leadership and personal responsibility in the modern world.
We will be joined by representatives from some of the top universities in Switzerland, including Les Roches and Glion, providing an opportunity for students and their parents to find out more about the opportunities available to them as they approach the important juncture in their lives where they must consider the next steps for their future.
This is a unique and fun-filled leadership conference that offers students the opportunity to learn and enhance valuable leadership skills, including goal setting, time management, evaluation, communication skills and presentation techniques and to collaborate more effectively in teams while working on exciting games with experienced trainers. Students learn while doing and make new friends along the way.
A leading NGO
One of the biggest NGO’s in the world, our partner the World Wildlife Fund will be providing an environmentally themed escape room to challenge our participants to work together and consider their impact on the environment, and offering opportunities for students to participate in exciting conservational projects that will have a real impact on the environment and ecosystem in the UAE.
Our SILC Ambassadors will be joining us; Robyn one of the top British U15 downhill skier and fastest female skier in the Middle East, and Lebanese Olympic high jump hopeful Mayssa, who will both partake in a variety of challenges together with all students. We will also be on the lookout for more exceptional young leaders to join our team of Ambassadors, so if your child has an experience or achievement they’re keen to share with us - let us know!
Personal Action Plan & Follow up
Every student receives a Personal Action Plan, one of our signature learning tools. This proven development tool tracks participants personal achievements, including all competences and skills learned at the conference, and is a valuable device for planning future academic and personal progress, and is a great way to show mentors at school, friends or anyone else what you have learned. There is even an option to follow up on the learning outcomes one month post conference with your trainer and your parents through Skype.
Parents and students cafe
It’s not all for students! Our parents and students cafe, open between 09:00- 10:00 and 19:30-20:00, is a space for parents to socialise, get refreshments and to join scheduled talks and meet with our partners. Parents have the opportunity to express interest in meeting with any of our partners during the sign-up process to find out more about the organisation and ask any questions.
The event is hosted at the exclusive Four Seasons Jumeirah Resort in Dubai. All food and drink is provided, including morning and evening refreshments for parents, and a healthy lunch and exciting evening meal for students during the networking gala.
