IN-DEPTH WORKSHOPS OF CHOICE
In-depth workshops: 920 AED / student including all activities, catering and materials
In-depth workshops (day 1)+conference (day 2): 1.400 AED / student including all activities, catering and materials
Open to all students aged 11-17. No prior experience required.
Participants attend two workshops of choice over the course of the day; one in the morning, and another in the afternoon. Spaces for each of the in-depth workshops are limited and reserved on a first come first served basis.
Students can choose two among the following workshops;
– Communication Workshop & Conflict Management
Explore the key components of connecting with others, using simple techniques to better understand each other and to improve communication by focusing on listening skills and how to place yourself in someone else’s shoes.
In part two, students learn to recognise the five primary responses to conflict, look at how they manage conflict, and explore resolution strategies in different situations.
– Media Training Workshop
This workshop is a course aimed at improving the participants’ performance in the press and the (social) media. Both the content and the form of communication will be worked on.
Students will be challenged to come up with their own plan for an interview which will then be put into practice with the help of media trainers and leading film makers. We record every interview and analyse together to highlight positive aspects and areas of improvement.
– Team Training & Talent Development Workshop
Everyone has their own strengths and talents, some we might be aware of, others not. In this workshop students learn how to better identify develop their talents and preferred team roles and learn to use these effectively in daily life.
Students then play a team challenge where the focus is on using their everyone’s individual talents within the team to achieve success, improving understanding of oneself and each other
– Goal Setting & Time Management Workshop
Students learn strategies to help them accomplish their goals by looking at their relationships with others, their achievement in school, and their accomplishments in the community as well as looking forward to future studies and workplaces.
As part of an educational game, participants will then be challenged to accomplish a goal, while managing their time effectively and avoid getting stressed.

10:00-10:30: Start and plenary welcome for students and icebreakers to get to know each other
10:30-13:00: Workshop of choice 1
14:00-15:00: Group game with all students
15:00-17:30: Workshop of choice 2
17:30-18:00: Personal Action Plans and special final surprise
