SILC Academy
We are a premier Student Leadership organisation with more than 11 years of experience in the education industry and are proud member of a variety of international school organisations and councils such as the BSME, AAIE, EARCOS, ECIS and NESA. We work with students from the world’s most prestigious schools to unlock their potential with our school workshops, school camps throughout the academic year, our two week summer camps in Switzerland and one day conferences around the world open for all students. Our programmes are specially designed using our SILC curricular framework to combine amazing activities and fun games alongside workshops and evaluations, and has proven to be a powerful tool for developing student learning and leadership skills.
The SILC curriculum & methodology
The SILC curriculum is a pedagogically aligned syllabus developed over many years by our experienced team of educators in partnership with top private schools from around the world. Our programme integrates learning outcomes with fun group activities and outdoor challenges by positioning activities alongside feedback and evaluation provided by our dedicated trainers, all of whom have extensive backgrounds in the education industry.
Our trainers connect with each student individually, providing personal insight and helping students to develop self-reflection and resilience. Throughout the experience, our students are encouraged to identify personal goals and make a commitment to accomplish these during their academic, sporting and daily lives, resulting in a Personal Action Plan – a tool which has proved to have a significant and positive impact on child development.
THE SILC SENIOR TRAINERS
Our speakers, trainers and coaches are a unique melting pot of passionate, committed and highly experienced experts in the field of leadership, coaching, and consulting and have extensive experience working with students from international schools around the world through our school workshops, school camps, summer and winter camps, webinars and student leadership conferences. All trainers who manage and run the Student Leadership Series are part of our international and multilingual senior training team, hold Child Protection Certificates from the ECIS school council, are first aid trained and bring a different expertise to the variety of training modules.
Our core team of senior trainers is specialised in each course and consists of musicians, film makers, project managers, directors, marketeers, media trainers, educators, entrepreneurs, ski instructors, nutritionists, drama teachers, actresses, photographers, mountain guides and outdoor enthusiasts. We also work as educational consultants to help schools design, optimise and expand their student leadership programmes.
SILC Academy Experiences
Summer Leadership Camp for individual students
Our exciting summer camp organised in partnership with the prestigious boarding school College Champittet brings together top students from around the world for an exciting two-week course that enhances their learning and personal development in a beautiful and safe Swiss environment, guided by a team of senior trainers and professional mountain guides.
Swiss Leadership Academy at school
We pride ourselves working with the leading schools around the world including premium International, British, IB and American curriculum schools. We organise practical and engaging workshops and combine interactive presentations with purpose designed leadership games and challenges aligned with the school curriculum.
Swiss Leadership Camp for school groups
Our multi-day Swiss Student Leadership Camp is a constructive and fun school trip known as the absolute pinnacle of leadership development for primary, middle and high school students. At the Swiss Leadership Camp we combine a selection of leadership modules with adventures at our beautiful camp in the heart of the Gstaad valley in Switzerland.
SILC Family Travels
Based on our successful work with corporate executives, top athletes and schools, we take you to luxury locations around the world for a week-long adventure. This bespoke programme for groups of 10 or more brings together parents, children and friends with adult, child-only and mixed sessions that create bonds and treasured lifelong memories.
SILC Winter Camp
Set in the Swiss alps near Gstaad, this prestigious winter camp develops international students' leadership skills through a range of challenging outdoor activities, exciting games and fun workshops. The fully integrated one-week camp and combines leadership modules on diverse topics such as goal setting and global citizenship with exciting winter activities.
SILC Student Leadership Conferences
Our conferences are activity focused events specially designed using the SILC curricular framework in which we combine fun activities and exciting games alongside highly interactive workshops and personal evaluations, and are a powerful tool for developing student learning and leadership skills.
